Securing the Permit

Class: Securing of the Concealed Carry Permit In The State of Idaho

 

Target Population:

Individuals who have already made the decision to obtain their concealed carry permit in the State of Idaho. Class should be limited to 8 participants. Each session will last approximately 3 hours.


Class Description
:

Each participant will receive instruction which will satisfy the Idaho State requirements for concealed carry. Upon completion, each participant will be presented with a certificate of completion which must be presented to their respective county sheriff.

 

A concealed weapon as a tool puts its handler in a position to protect himself/herself or family member when all other options are exhausted. In the hands of the skilled citizen, a concealed weapon will save lives. In the hands of the unprepared, it very well could be used against them.


Class Objectives
: 

The participant will be provided with the procedure of how to secure a permit to carry a concealed weapon in the State of Idaho. Upon completion of this class, each student will receive documentation of class participation. This document is required in some counties (Ada) to be presented to the sheriff’s office.  Securing non-resident concealed carry permits for other states will also be discussed.

 

The participant will be introduced to the ethical, legal, and moral responsibilities of concealed carry of a firearm.

 

The participant will be introduced to “How close is too close?” and the variables that must be factored in.

 

The participant will be introduced to the “Jeopardy Triangle” which must be thoroughly understood before taking “The Shot”.

 

The participant will be introduced to elementary ballistics and various types of ammunition.

 

The participant will be introduced to basic human anatomy and the effect that a striking bullet has on various organs. Victim reactions of various bullet placement will be discussed.

           

The participant will be instructed how best to communicate with law enforcement.

 

The participant will be introduced to the legal aftermath of a shooting.

           

The participant will be introduced to the use of the internet and how information can be found.

 

The participant will be introduced to holsters and elementary concealment techniques.

 

Cost:

$100 per session with cost shared among participants or $65 per person
